It’s only the very brave, or the sun worshipping, who dare to venture into the suns harsh rays these days in search of the ultimate beach bronzed glow. Of course, with skin cancer one risk, and the distinct probability of landing up looking like old leather before your time, sun really isn’t an option anymore.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, they’ve now outlawed tanning beds, with those in the know telling us they’re actually worse than a day at the beach! What’s a girl with the yearning for a golden glow to do?

In the interests of the pale and pasty everywhere, I’ve been doing a little research, and it seems that there really is a fake tan option to suit every budget. Cheapest are the new generation tinted moisturizers, that actually build your tan up slowly over time.

Next come the self tanners, which have (thankfully!) become much more user friendly lately, and with formulations that won’t leave you looking tangerine if you make a mistake, they’re becoming more attractive.
